SATURDAY NIGHT MUSIC 9.23.06 (IT'S A BLUES NIGHT AT THE ENIGMA CAFE)

Muddy Waters Long Distance Call(1968)

Football is on TV....rain is falling off and on. The dog is snoring loudly ( she may be Basenji, but I think she has some lazy ol'Hound dog in there somewhere.) It is a good night for blogs and reading, and the Blues- so I gave you two Muddy Waters.
You want a pissed off rant about Torture- read my Friday Posts- Piss &Vinegar flowed yesterday at the Cafe.
I am sick of King Asswipe's Antics...and I let it rip - so please enjoy...and feel free to leave your thoughts as well.

Blogs to read tonight ( They are all on my blogroll on the side, I suck at links, but I do like to share):

(1) Stop by and read the Anderson Cooper's Blog over on the Blog. It is not CNN Wolf Blitzer White House Humping Propaganda, actually it is a blog that Anderson shares with Many CNN Folk- it is thoughtful, intriguing, reflective and Human. It has posts by Anderson, Christine Amanpour, Tom Foremen, but also posts of others behind the scenes.

(2) FAT LADY SINGS:
This woman writes with Heart and Soul, and Class. Her recent post is about the Torture Mess,

(3) DUSTY, on over on the blogroll has an amazing roundup of issues right now.

(4) DADA: This Southwest Man has been blogging it hard and covering many issues, but he has humor and snark that makes you laugh while you curse.

(5) PEACECHICK MARY, head her way- she has tales and photos from the AntiWar Path that will warm your heart.

(6) SKIPPY, cause we love him and have since Day One, and he has all kinds updates on all fronts...

(7)Some o the Fellas that have my heart and mind , TRUCKER BOB'S wisdom&Humor&photos to die for. And IMMORAL MINORITY.
( and don't forget PT CRUISER and KVATCH and POTTERSVILLE....explore)

(8) MEL over on the Blogroll, and Tina (FUZZY& BLUE) Both have wisdom and wonderul insights.

(9) NEW BLOGS: America Weeps (by Anon-paranoid), and AZ Goddess are new to Blogland- and have wonderful blogs.

Enigma: Thank you for the sweet remarks re Dada's D.D. You are the kindest! And if I made no one but you laugh as you curse, it was all worth the while. (smile) Thank you dearest!

Ok, having said that I confess, there are times I "run low"...I need refueling and the Cafe here is just what the doctor orders everytime. A few choice minutes spent here wash away so much of the angst. The anger is renewed, enabling me to charge forward with enthusiam.

Just knowing you'll be in your own cell somewhere on the block or in the next prison down the road gives me new energy and comfort that this isn't as lonely an effort as it sometimes feels.

And lastly let me say, I loved these blues. I won't bore you here with the minutia, but it was truly a nice break from the endless daily assaults. And the memory of a thought long forgotten (almost) was priceless. TYTYTY!

p.s. Oh, can I say one more thing? I also appreciate inclusion among blogs that I visit, read, and enjoy regularly. As for the others I'm not familiar with, I look forward to exploring them as well! Thanx Enigma!!

DADA: Hey there we all run low at times, we have to keep spirits up when you can...the Enigma Cafe is a watering Hole For the Soul....

If we can laugh, share some angst, some poetry (good and bad;-), songs, and yeah, sometimes we cry in our "coffee " ( or beer as needed...)...the Important thing is that we Share...
and take care of each other...

And hell, yes, At the Detainment-Camp-in-my-dissenting-future, yup I will plant a garden, put in window boxes and curtains, and maybe write some Rude Grafetti out back...and smuggle books in....I will go down fighting but taking good care of my friends...which the Enigma Cafe is...
and yeah, we gotta keep Storming the Castle in the Meantime...and make King PissyPants Miserable... Right?

Keep Blogging it Good Man....we got a Country to Save...

Enigma,

Thank you for putting me on the blog roll. I love your visits and your site is always such a pleasure. Muddy Waters is welcome wherever he turns up.

P.S. I'm providing temporary refuge for the crawford listers who have been shut out of beta land.

Muddy Waters is wonderful for a lazy, Sunday morning. Thanks Enigma. And thanks, too, for your big heart & soul so evident in your more tender posts, as well as your well-justified outraged rants against the ruling thugs.

sorry to say, I won't join you in the detention camps. no matter how they are marketed, even if they allow you a garden window box, i've visited soul-killing manzanar. I don't see myself being rounded up & thus rendered helpless. One alternative would be a french-underground-type resistance, another revolutionary-rebellion (take to the streets). I know I'll see you there! After that: Emigration, Not Detention. Just gotta find a country that's prepared for a huge influx, you know, kind of like america used to be? D.K.

In answer to your question, I believe Obama on there because he has public clout as does Reid.

Reid is also minority leader in the Senate and the Specter I believe chairs the Intel Committee.

Warner, McCain and Graham spoke out against changing the Conventions, however I now believe theirs were nothing but a sham talking point.

I remember Graham still too this day his involvement in President Clinton's Impeachment. At the time he reminded me of a snake in the grass. Like the indians always said about the white man, they speak with forked tongues.

If this bill passes they may be free of charges here in the U.S. of A., but still be liable in other countries. They should be very carefull about setting their feet on foreign soil.

Also all who vote to pass this BS piece of legislation will be complicite in War Crimes and also liable to charges.

The Democrats better be carefull, very carefull.

Take care and God Bless.

Thank you for all the kind words, my dear. This has indeed been a heavy week. Like everyone here I am angered almost beyond words. I cannot believe America now stands for oppression and torture instead of freedom and hope. I hate what Bush has done to our country. It is a sin. A real sin - not the sham kind he and his pretend religious friends constantly whine about. George Bush just destroyed everything Jefferson and Adams and Franklin wrought when they created America. What can we do? Who will organize a march on Washington? There needs to be a million people standing in front of the White House demanding Bush resign. Impeach & Imprison! It has to be our battle cry.

You rock, girlfriend...thanks for the mench! Now I need to get a new post up toot sweet~~

And was working on one this Sunday when the Ugly Booty Monster kicked me to the Blue Screen of Death, and rendered my Improvised Explosive Post a dud. Most of the shrapnel ended up in my comment re: Keith the Mann (9/25/06). We may be in different cities far apart, but it's so cool to be in The Same Neighborhood. Keep up the great work, mama-san. You bring a lot of Good People together!
