aaah, bagpipes, kilts & the man in black -- what more do you need? I do love the way he looks at her. You nailed that one, Enigma! Yes, they remind us that the most important thing is to love one another. Here's a funny coincidence: Mr DK saw John & June perform back in his college days in the 60s. He was very much taken with how obviously in love they were. They must've been giving each other the same looks even back then.

And um, as far as boy scouts in scotland? As I said on GA, they MUST exist to help little old ladies across the street for the Friday Night Pub Crawls. Ye'll hafta gie us help wi' ta scots speach if ta winning o'that contest be mine, lassie. My tongue gets a bit blobby when I try & wrap it around those rrrr's. ~~ D.K.

Enigma: Thank you so much for these tender few moments. Deeply evocative, particularly knowing these two lovebirds are now together, somewhere in the great eternal beyond. And, yes, echoing raed, you nailed it. Lovely reminder of what really matters. (And I viewed this while composing a snarky, sarcastic-assed Christmas blog. I like to think this "enigma moment" reflects the *real me*, but so long as there are bastards impaling us upon their dictates and actions, I'm left to wonder. That aside, I lay down my poison pen, for the moment at least, in truce for the spirit of a holiday that once held such much more joy and innocence for me.

"O.K., that was good. Back to the snark. Christmas is upon us and must finish my blog message if I'm to get it up by tomorrow."

Here's wishing you, e4e and that great lad of yours, and wonderful animal companions the very best of Christmases possible! And all you other bloggers/commenters - Merry Christmas!

(Oh, and Enigma, can you keep a secret? Promise? Well, for Christmas, I'm getting raed her very own blog. She'll be sooo good at it!)

Oh Dada....now you got me , ME...all choked up...and yeah, an another "enigma moment"... You wanna to hear something funny, I was in a short story class when my son was just a baby- an adult learner class at a Highschool, and I wrote a story about this Homeless guy......it actually was not too sad at all, just REAL...anyways, 2 moms in the class asked to have me leave- because "my stories, even the "happy"ones made them cry". The "teacher "met me in the parking lot met me before class and delivered the "messege".

So I stood there on a winter night and shivered at this little revelation, this was my first jaunt at coming out of the closet as a writer.....so I was stunned.

So I said,'Well , what should I do? Do you want me to quit the class ?"

She laughed and looked at me, and said "No, I didn't say that did I ? You know what I think ? I think you should write, and maybe even try to get published. And about the two other"writers', I told them that Writing is about Reality, and telling it like it is, and if they don't like it, there is a great knitting class down the hall."

I never went back to the class......but I also never stopped writing... We all have stories, and we need to share them and we need to write....all of us.

You know what I like most about your writing, Enigma? Well, besides the obvious skills of good story-telling, loving reality, and purposeful outrage (screw those moms in your class who wanted to only read sugar-coated candy fluff; I just hope they didn't pass along such ostrichism to their kids)?

I can HEAR your voice in your words!

Now that's saying a lot, believe me.

And I agree, everyone has a story that should be shared. The world is much enriched by those who took the time to pass their stories on.

ps, Dada's ability to choke us up needs to be looked into. Isn't it always the way with these self-proclaimed sarcastic snark-asses that they can cut through the BS & hit an emotional chord? ~~ D.K.
