John Dean's book might be good. He is on Keith Olbermann a lot.

Mindful Politics~ A Buddhist Guide to Making the World a Better Place.

In true Zen style, It is not partisan, and does not address specifics of political systems per se, more of a seeking & finding of Humanity in the process.

With chapters titled:

Gross National Happiness

The Art of Less War

No Color All Colors

Beyond Us & Them

I am going to go to a Womans Activist group discussing Hillary tonight. I'd like to put my finger on the pulse of the Feminist Community & their take on Hill.

I'm reading "Guns, Germs & Steel" by Jared Diamond. It will supposedly tell me why human societies have followed such widely divergent pathways of development. So far, it's an ambitious attempt at explaining the last 13,000 yrs of human history. The same author wrote "The Third Chimpanzee" about the human animal. After a science fiction summer, I felt I needed some reality.

I'm reading Thomas Paine's Common Sense. Someone recently donated a beautifully bound copy to the library.
And Enigma, always.

The Zening Of Dubya by myself is a good read if you enjoy satire.

It's my attempt to rehabilitate George by teaching him introspection through meditation.

Thank you for the debate. Most enjoyable. I will look for the books when they come to the local thrift shop. Until then I still have to finish my Solzhenitsyn between the other fun stuff I pick up for a dollar.
